Kelly's Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern has closed and we are liquidating everything

After 32 years of serving the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern has closed their doors. All of their equipment and memorabilia will be sold at auction. People from all over the world have visited Kelly’s during these years and for many it has become a part of family memories while vacationing at the Outer Banks. If you have ever visited Kelly’s, you know that the building was packed with incredible items that make great collectibles and decor for a home, man-cave or restaurant.

On Saturday, January 13, 2018 beginning a 10 AM, all of the memorabilia will be auctioned on site at 2316 S Croatan Hwy, Nags Head, NC 27959. There are hundreds of memorabilia items for sale from the exterior marquis to stained glass windows. Lots of coastal themed items such as large billfish, buoys and boats along with historical photographs of the Outer Banks will be included. There will be something for everyone in the auction. Here are a just a few of the items that are being sold.

The front door at Kelly’s featuring the stained glass insert of a marlin is incredible. It is the first thing people see when they enter the building. This is Kelly’s logo and also appears in a large piece of stained glass in the bar area. Both will be a part of the sale.

This antique storefront came from a draper and tailor in England. It was brought to the US approximately 70 years ago after being used in the UK as a storefront for an actual business. Many of you will recognize this as the entrance to the bar area. It comes apart in three sections for removal. This will be one of the highlights of the auction.

Everyone loves neon and there are numerous neon collectibles in this auction. Most of them come from beverage companies as the two pictured above and are hard to come by. These will be in high demand.

There are tons of nautical items and historical photographs. This large marlin will be a focal point for any room. Photos like the one above lend character to any setting. You can outfit any facility with a coastal theme with items from this sale.
